Dimensions: 2000mm x 1200mm x 4mm (10kg/m²) Barrier mat is often referred to as Mass Loaded Vinyl or MLV. It is a unique material used for adding a high level of mass/ weight with only a shallow build up. Barrier mat is used on floors, walls and ceilings to add mass and sound insulation.

It can be installed between layers of plasterboard in a wall or ceiling build up. MLV can also be used in a floor, within the cavity or over the subfloor, floorboard or concrete floor and below the floor finish. Barrier mat is also used in the commercial sector in roofing build ups and within ceiling voids in offices and other commercial buildings.

The Mass Loaded Vinyl can be suspended as a 'curtain' above partitions in ceiling voids in offices.
