An iconicAlessi utensil, it is the result of a collaboration between chef Alberto Gozzi and designer Ettore Sottsass. Sottsass was one of the most influential designers of the second half of the 20th century.

Considered a great architect and innovator, Ettore Sotsass has seen many of his creations exhibited (and still exhibited) in major art museums. Multi-awarded throughout his career, the designer also tried his hand at other fields to enrich his experience. In particular, he has tried his hand at drawing and photography.

He is so passionate about ceramics and travel that these passions are his greatest sources of inspiration. These influences can be found in Ettore Sottsass's work. Let's move on to the details of the pie server.

It is made entirely of 18/10 stainless steel. This alloy makes the pie server extremely robust and resistant to impact and corrosion. Sottsass worked in collaboration with Italian chef Alberto Gozzi on his Nuovo Milano collection, with the aim of offering ergonomic, designer utensils.

Indeed, the shovel is completely smooth, as the designer wanted it to recall the image of a polished pebble in the sea. Its sophisticated design transforms the act of serving a slice of cake into a small table ritual. The pie scoop's wide, beveled blade glides easily under the slice of cake or pie to be served.

Easy to clean, you can place it in your dishwasher for optimum hygiene. A true collector's item, the pie server and other utensils in the Nuovo Milano collection were originally created in 1989, and earned their creator the Compasso d'Oro, the supreme design award. Discover all our tart pans!
