Based iconic Menuhin shield mute design, it's able to fit over the bridges of both violins and violas and doesn't rattle while you play. It can then be pushed back towards the tailpiece when you're needing a louder sound. Using a harder material than traditional rubber mutes, you avoid the pesky black marks that can occur with other models.

The Professional model in white is thinner for a more direct sound. Extensively tested, the Alpine mute is perfect for both practicing or playing in an ensemble.
