The Type R subwoofers have been redesigned to offer greater installation flexibility and a wider range of features, making them the ideal sound system. The mounting depth of the new units has been reduced by almost 20 % while offering a higher output capability. With the new TenPiece and segmented magnet structure, the new subwoofer has 20% more than its predecessor model, giving a more accurate, louder and cleaner bass response with greater control.

The new magnet structure is also an essential part of the next generation of Alpine's patented VC cooling system with radial fans.
