These barberries are similar to unsweetened dried cranberries, but are smaller. This dried fruit may be used sparingly in granola or salads and as stuffing in different Middle Eastern specialties.

These dried berries may be plumped up before mixing with the dish by soaking for a few minutes in hot water.
