A total of 20 freely programmable GPIO pins are available. Despite its compact design, the functional scope of the Nano almost corresponds to that of an Arduino Uno. This is mainly due to the powerful ATmega328 microcontroller, which has already proven itself on several Arduino boards.

Via the micro-USB socket you can supply the board and circuit with power as well as conveniently transfer new programs to the controller. Arduino is an open-source physical computing platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software. The aim of this platform is to enable artists, designers, hobbyists and other interested parties to create interactive objects.

Sensors and microcontrollers are used to make analog inputs available to software applications and/or control electromechanical devices such as motors, servos, LEDs or other hardware.
