Using a substantial true load and AutoMeter's patented digital pulse load testing protocol, the BCT-460 accurately measures the battery's capacity and recovery for a comprehensive state of health assessment. It is capable of detecting bad cells and conditions that show the battery is near the end of life.

The true load test applied to the battery simulates real world operating conditions. The BCT-460 also measures alternator output, voltage regulation, diode ripple, and starter cranking RPM.
