The SX2.7 has a very quiet, high torque brushless motor. A simple control knob with a digital display above gives a speed range between 100 and 2,000rpm. The motor has plenty of torque at the lower spindle speed and with the advanced control system offers the useful tapping function.

The headstock features a digital read-out of the spindle extension for accurate blind hole drilling or tool setting. A headstock height control handwheel is conveniently mounted at the top of the column. The downfeed has a fine feed system for milling, plus a direct feed for drilling.

The forward reverse thread tapping system is first class. The headstock comes fitted with an interlocked swivelling chuck guard.
