The tang sits deep into the handle which adds to the strength and durability of the blade. The hardwood handles are ergonomically designed and varnished for a smooth finish, providing a comfortable grip for extended periods of time. The octagonal shape of the handle offers better control and prevents the chisels from rolling off the bench when not in use.
