The Starry Surface creates a rainbow kaleidoscope effect on the first layer of your print, glittering and shifting colour as the angle changes. It works best with silk or shiny filaments to enhance the pattern transfer. Important Notes: For the best results, apply the 3D Effect Spare Sheet only to the official steel plate from Bambu Lab.

The Bambu Engineering Plate (on the reverse side of the Cool Plate/High Temp Plate) is also compatible. If applying a 3D Effect Spare Sheet to an existing plate, remove any previous sheet and clean off all glue residue. Ensure the surface is completely dry and clean before application.

Set the plate type to Smooth PEI/High Temp Plate and follow the recommended heatbed settings when using the Bambu 3D Effect Plate. The 3D effect patterns require a clean surface to remain visible. Grease can obscure the patterns, so keep the surface clean by washing with hot water and detergent.

Avoid touching the surface directly. Considerations: LIDAR calibration may not work correctly due to reflections from the Effect Sheets. Skip the LIDAR calibration or use a regular plate for calibration.

The 3D Effect Spare Sheets are consumables. To extend their lifespan, position prints on different areas of the sheet. Do not apply glue to the sheet surface.

Be careful when using a scraper to remove prints to avoid damaging the sheet. Bambu Lab recommend using PLA and TPU filaments for printing. Keep in mind that slicer settings may need adjustment depending on the model and filament requirements.
