Safe and easy to use. The safety guard securely holds smaller pieces to protect fingers. With 1 fixed straight-edge blade, 3 interchangeable blades, and an easy-turn adjustment dial, its easy to make a variety of cuts at different thicknesses (from 0.5 to 8-millimeters) for any recipe.

The straight-edge blade makes wider slices for chips, scalloped potatoes or thinly sliced onion. The coarse-toothed blade makes chunky 7-millimeter wide cuts. Both the medium-toothed blade (2.5-millimeter wide cuts) and fine-toothed blade (1-millimeter wide cuts) are ideal for long, narrow julienne or matchstick strips, for hashbrowns, shoestring potato nests, zoodles (zucchini spaghetti strands) and stir frys.

Simply hook the groove underneath onto bowls to collect slices or set the non-skid rubber base directly against the counter for stability during use. Snap in the desired blade, hold the mandoline slicer by the handle, and slice directly into a bowl or onto a work surface.
