Tagines were traditionally placed on the embers of desert camp fires for gently cooking tough cuts of meat. The conical cover allows condensed moisture to drop right into the centre of the dish where it spreads out evenly through the food maximising flavours and texture and reducing cooking time. This tagine has a 30cm terracotta base which will work on all hob types (excluding induction) and is big enough to serve 2-3 people.
