This third generation introduces enhanced sounds, new features, and advanced performance, providing guitarists with an even more expressive and dynamic sonic experience. Thanks to updates in Tube Logic technology, the seven models in the range ensure authentic response and a tube-like feel, with the new Pushed character designed for those who love a saturated sound on the edge of breaking up. The Boss Tone Studio app has been revamped to simplify the editing of effects and amplifiers, improving workflow on macOS and Windows.

With the optional Bluetooth MIDI adapter, users can customize sounds and stream music directly from mobile devices via iOS and Android. Since 2016, the Katana series has established itself as a benchmark for guitarists around the world, combining professional sound, built-in effects, and extensive versatility. The Katana Gen 3 models refine the five original amplification characters, including the iconic high-gain Brown, and introduce a total of 12 distinctive tones to suit every musical genre.

Some amplifiers in the line also feature the new Bloom circuit, which enhances the dynamics and expressive response of the instrument. With five categories of built-in effects, including Booster, Mod, FX, Delay, and Reverb, and the ability to select up to 60 customizable types of effects, guitarists can shape their sound in detail. Additionally, extensive connectivity options allow for remote control with expression pedals and footswitches, while the higher-end models are compatible with GA-FC and GA-FC EX controllers for optimal stage management.
