This plug-in type adapter allows you to use 1.25" accessories such as eyepieces in Telescopes with a larger 2" focuser. On the telescope side, a 2" filter thread M48x0.75 also allows you to also use 2" threaded filters. This is extremely helpful if you already own 1.25" eyepieces and accessories and want to use them on another telescope with 2" fittings.
