When replacing your BT8500 cordless phone batteries please check you insert them correctly and then charge them for a minimum of 24 hours the very first time. Please also note that new batteries do not reach their full capacity until they have been in normal use for several days. It is quite normal for batteries and the handset to become warm when charging.
