If using a pressure cooker it will take around 20-30 minutes. If you are using a regular pan, it will probably be around 2 hours.

Shallow fry the onion, garlic and bacon and then add a few beans to the mixture, squashing the beans to give a paste texture. Now add the rest of the beans including water and cook over a low heat until the sauce thickens. Add salt to taste and service with rice.
