The ascender can be used in two different modes: free mode for easy insertion and removal, and lock mode to prevent accidental releases. The fastening straps are adjustable and auto-locking, suitable for any type of boot.

The design also includes special holes to help prevent mud and dirt buildup. The Turbofoot Evo has an aluminum alloy main body and a precision cast stainless steel CAMP. It can be used as a progress capture pulley for material recovery purposes, with a maximum weight capacity of 50 kg.

The ascender is compatible with ropes from 8 to 13 mm. The Turbofoot Evo is designed for climbers and is suitable for both men and women.
