The LC-5 set is compatible with the N3 remote control socket. The remote will fire at a distance of up to 300 feet. This wireless controller set offers three different transmission channels, offering different choices for adjacent transmitters.

The wireless controller set is powered by eight (8) AA batteries, four for the transmitters and four for the receiver. The two-stage switch will allow the user individual control of both metering as well as the shutter release; it can also be switched to a single-stage mode. This tool is useful for photographers who need more versatility while shooting, and prevents the subject from getting away if it may be afraid of human interaction (For example, wildlife photography).
