Remove the aspirator tip from the bulb. Flush bulb and aspirator tip thoroughly with warm water before each use. Place nasal tip into the bulb.

Squeeze the bulb to expel air. Place nasal tip to the opening of the patient's nostril. Slowly and gradually release pressure on the bulb.

( Do not release the pressure all at once.) Mucus will flow into the nasal tip as the bulb expands. Rinse out mucus from the bulb with water. Clear another nostril as explained above.

Cleaning and storage: Separate tip from the bulb. Wash both parts thoroughly in warm soapy water. Rinse bulb and tip several times, squeeze out excess water, and air dry.

Store in a cool dry place.
