Every handle comes complete with a single hardwood wooden wedge (typically oak or ash) and a single steel wedge. The wooden wedge may require sizing before fitting to accurately fit the eye of your axe.

Apply a little propriety wood glue such as Titebond to the wooden wedge before fitting. These replacement handles come without a pre-cut kerf but is easily created with a sharp panel saw. Manufactured in Sheffield, UK.
