The oak has a hand applied weathered limed oak finish that really brings out the natural beauty in the oak grain.

The weathered limed oak finish oozes character and is achieved by hand rubbing white wax into the oak grain and it is then finished with a protective matt lacquered finish that is hardwearing and maintenance free. This oak shaker cupboard is skilfully hand made with traditional time honoured construction methods using a combination of high quality North American solid oak for the frame and thick oak veneers in panels for increased strength and durability over time. Please note that each piece of Cheshire weathered Limed Oak is unique in colour and finish. Like a finger print the oak wood grain is unique and not one piece is the same. Solid oak varies in grain depth, pattern and colour and therefore you will see natural differences in colour within each item of furniture and within the solid oak used.

The weathered limed oak finish is designed to accentuate the oak grain and therefore items with deeper grain structures will appear whiter in appearance compared to pieces with shallower oak grain structures. This is because the deeper oak grains will hold more of the white wax that is hand rubbed into it to get the desired weathered limed oak effect. This is perfectly normal and the furniture is designed this way and each item oozes individual character.

You can’t say fairer than that. For your peace of mind all our oak and painted furniture is built using timbers sourced from sustainable forests. This cupboard requires assembly.

The panels simply bolt together and then the shelves require setting in place.
