These robust boats, mostly made of GRP, still make up the classic image of marinas all over Europe. There are numerous prototypes of various shipyards, on the basis of this shapely hull certainly many original yachts can be replicated and equipped with numerous individual details. This shapely yacht offers very good sailing characteristics.
The beautiful sailing image of the boat invites you to dream. Due to the streamlined hull with molded keel fin, the elegant Comtesse reaches considerable speeds even in light winds. In stronger breezes it can be sailed calmly, the heavy ballast keel makes the model capsize-proof.
With its simple construction and well-balanced handling, it will make it much easier for newcomers to model sailing to get started. With Comtesse, of course, all courses, from "cruising" against the wind to sailing "downwind", can be sailed effortlessly using the rudder and sail adjustment. The hardware kit (not included in the basic kit) contains the many visible hardware parts, such as lamps steering wheel and parts for the steering column, winches, railing supports and much more.
The hardware parts for the sails and sails are included in the kit. The installation of a slack pusher is possible and already provided for in the design. The wing keel shown is also an optional part (not in the basic kit), which again significantly improves the sailing characteristics and righting moment of the Comtesse.
This keel is also a good option for many other sailboats. The building instructions are very detailed with many pictures and tips on the use of adhesives. The soldering aids and auxiliary devices are explained in detail.
Extensive are the instructions for the sails and rigging. Less experienced model builders will get along well with the instructions. Basic sailing terms are explained.
