Since there is no silicone coating, this sheet is ideal for patient transfer in the operating theatre, where a less slippery slide sheet may be desirable. It is important to follow your local hospital patient handling guidelines, which are normally available from the Health and Safety department. Suitable for Emergency Lifting The transfer sheet may be used for emergency lifting only.

When used for lifting, all six handles should be utilised. Non-Coated Transfer Sheets have a maximum patient weight capacity of 400kg when used for sliding, whereas in case of emergency lifting the maximum weight capacity is 200kg. Maintenance of Reusable Non-Coated Sheets Although Reusable Non-Coated Sheets have a maximum patient weight capacity of 400kg, wear and tear will progressively reduce weight capacity.

It is advised that you always inspect your sheets prior to use for stitching and fabric degradation. What Does The Blue Colour Mean? The colour of the sheets serves more than just an aesthetic purpose. The blue colour of these sheets means they are reusable.

To dry, drip drying is recommended, although low temperature tumble dry may be used if necessary.
