It can be set to CPAP, Spontaneous, Timed, or Spontaneous/Timed mode to provide the most suitable air pressure cycles for the individual.

What's Included? 1 x SleepCube Machine 1 x 6ft Tubing 1 x User manual 1 x AC Line Cord Carrying Case As there are a wide range of masks available to fit the DeVilbiss SleepCube BiLevel ST CPAP Machine, it is recommended that you select the one that best fits your preferences. As such, a mask is not included with the BiLevel ST Machine. Who Can Use the BiLevel SleepCube? The BiLevel SleepCube is designed for use by individuals suffering from obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA, sometimes written as Obstructive Sleep Apnea).

The BiLevel machine provides positive air pressure to manage spontaneous breathing in patients and individuals weighing 30kg (66lb) or above. Please note that individuals with the following conditions are advised against using positive airway pressure therapy unless medically instructed: severe bullous lung disease; pneumothorax or pneumomediastinum; pathologically low blood pressure; cerebrospinal fluid leak; or recent cranial surgery or trauma. Can I Use the SleepCube BiLevel ST At Home? Yes, the SleepCube BiLevel ST is suitable for home use as well as in clinical environments.

It should be used on the advice and prescription of a licensed physician. What Is Obstructive Sleep Apnoea? Obstructive sleep apnoea, or OSA, is a breathing condition that involves the throat narrowly closing during sleep, which in turn inhibits breathing. The sudden pause of breath can occur as few as five times per hour at night, with more severe cases seeing 30 or more apnoeas per hour.

What Is CPAP? CPAP stands for continuous positive away pressure, and this refers to one of the most common methods of treating OSA. The pressurised air is provided through the use of a CPAP mask. These can be worn as either a full-face CPAP mask or a nasal CPAP mask, allowing you to treat your OSA in the most comfortable way possible.

Is a Sleep Apnoea Mask Included? Due to the individual preferences for different styles of sleep mask, a sleep apnoea mask is not included with the SleepCube. However, you can purchase a full face mask or nasal mask to ensure optimal comfort. How Does the SleepCube BiLevel Work? This air is then carried down your airways to prevent your throat from closing, in turn reducing the risk of an apnoea.

The SleepCube BiLevel ST features four modes: CPAP, Spontaneous, Timed, and Spontaneous Timed. Further information about the modes can also be found below. DeVilbiss SleepCube User Manual Which Pressure Modes Can I Programme? Providing enhanced versatility compared to similar CPAP devices, the BiLevel ST Machine provides the option of programming in a choice of four different modes.

They are as follows: CPAP: Air is provided in a continuous pressure while you sleep. Spontaneous (S): Triggered by the user's natural breathing, air is provided on a more individual and controlled level. Timed (T): The machine is programmed at a set rate to provide air in accordance with the user's typical breaths per minute.

They will be able to advise which level suits your requirements. How Does the SmartCode Technology Work? The included SmartCode Technology encodes usage data that can be easily decrypted and analysed online. It monitors the usage of the machine while you sleep, and this information can be accessed online, and is particularly useful for sending to your doctor.

Can I Travel with the SleepCube? The lightweight and compact nature of the SleepCube makes it ideal for travel. It weighs just 1.22kg (2.7lb), and is quiet during use, meaning you can use it in a hotel without worrying about disturbing other guests. The multi-voltage capability of the DeVilbiss SleepCube Standard Machine means that it can be used virtually anywhere in the world.

It can also be operated from a 12V DC power source such as those frequently found in motor homes. How Easy Is It to Sleep with the CPAP Machine?
