There is a water attachment point which delivers water to both sides of the blade. This allows for maximum performance when cutting tough materials. The liquid carries away the slurry generated by cutting dust generating materials, it helps to massively reduce the dust in the air, and it keeps the blade cooler.

You can supply water to the hose connection via a mains water supply, or - in keeping with the cordless nature of the DCS691 - attach a pressure sprayer.
