With a rotation speed of 540 rpm, the PTO shaft enables the auger to dig through even the hardest and driest soil. The earth auger consists of two clockwise-rotating augers equipped with interchangeable, hardened cutting edges at the tip. To allow it to drill smoothly into the ground, this auger is also equipped with a replaceable tip.

The light weight of 85 kg and the compact dimensions of 750 x 1800 x 660 mm for the entire superstructure allow it to be mounted easily to a category 1 three-point hitch. The 1290 mm PTO shaft hangs below the linkage. The post-hole digger is equipped with a slip clutch and a shear bolt.

These protective devices prevent damage to the engine or gearbox if the auger gets stuck in ground that is too firm. The tractor to which the post-hole digger, including the PTO shaft and earth drill, is attached should have a transmission power of between 25 and 50 HP. The right drill for the post-hole digger The large but effective Eb220 auger can drill holes in soft to hard ground.

The drill diameter is 220 mm with a maximum drilling depth of 600 mm. This is made possible by the 1200 mm length of the entire auger of and the hardened, interchangeable drill bits. Both the tip and the cutting edges, which are attached directly to the top of the auger, are made of hardened steel, making them ideal even for penetrating harder ground.

The auger’s light weight of 21 kg makes it pleasant to handle and comfortable to install on the post-hole digger. The right tool makes the difference. Eb220 earth auger now.
