The D3O XT insert along the shin bone provides a high degree of impact protection when the pedal hits, but remains low in bulk and highly flexible when you're riding. The combination of stretch ripstop and perforated neoprene ensures they're tough but breathable too. Silicone grippers at the top integrate with knee pads and a Velcro strap locks them firmly in place.
