Rainwater harvesting provides substantial benefits including promoting sustainability while reducing reliance on mains water and lowering bills. In farm settings, harvested rainwater is commonly used for crop irrigation and cleaning purposes, whilst in the home it can be used to supply water for gardens, toilet flushing, washing machines and power cleaning.
Unlike chemically treated tap water, rainwater has a low PH and is naturally soft making it preferable for watering plants, flowers and crops. In agriculture, having a backup supply of harvested rainwater helps to ensure a consistent supply of water is available during dry periods, contributing to a more resilient environment and keeping mains water costs down. Common Uses for the 150 Litre Rainwater Harvesting Tank This 150 litre rainwater collection tank is ideal for rainwater harvesting systems and non-potable water storage.
It has many applications including storing water for fire sprinkler systems, swimming pool backwash water storage, crop-spraying and irrigation systems.
