This alarm uses Thermoptek Thermally Enhanced Optical technology - as used by over 90% of the UK Fire and Rescue Services. Smart Silence allows the alarm to be silenced for up to 10 minutes in the event of a known false alarm. During these 10 minutes if additional smoke is detected the alarm will sound.

The locate feature means that when the network goes into alarm, pressing the test button of any alarm will silence all but the initiating alarm. This smoke alarm unit also comes with a sealed-for-life Panasonic lithium battery that lasts 10 years for peace of mind.
