The rubber fins on the bottom of the fitting compress against the walls of the clay or cast iron to create a tight seal, eliminating the need for digging through concrete to expose the external walls of the drainage pipe.

To install any pipe or fitting into another ring seal fitting, first make sure the end of the pipe has been chamfered. Clean off any dirt or debris and lubricate the joint with silicon lubricant.
