This pack contains 3 plants in white, pink and blue for maximum colour and a striking effect. Also known as Balloon Flower because of its large round buds, Platycodon is a compact perennial with a clump forming habit. It is ideal for borders, flower beds or rock gardens and works well in pots and containers.

Blue-green foliage grows up tall stems where the buds blossom into pretty star-shaped flowers in summer, adding a burst of colour to your outdoor space until late in the season. The lance-shaped leaves are serrated and complement the flowers beautifully. Balloon Flower flourishes best when planted in full sun or partial shade.

It prefers loamy soil that is moist but well-drained. Its long lasting flowers ensure Playcodon is popular among flower arrangers, who recommend cutting stems with the bud intact. This means the blooms can be enjoyed for longer as the buds blossom into flowers.

Milky sap resides inside the stems so be sure to singe the bottom for prolonged flowering and to prevent leaking into the water.
