In terms of protection, the EPS shell absorbs impacts while the MIPS liner adds a line of defence against rotational forces in the event of an impact. MIPS is scientifically proven to reduce the chance of brain injuries in a crash, and it fits so neatly into the Syntax you won't even know it's there.

Giro practically invented modern retention systems and the RocLoc offer simple adjustments to the diameter of the cradle, and the depth it sits at the rear, so you can get a secure, comfortable fit.
