It can additionally be used in alarm systems, torches, shock sensors, wireless PIRs (passive infrared sensors), camcorders and reed switches.

Using lithium manganese dioxide battery technology this cell has a nominal voltage of 3V and a nominal capacity ranging between 1400 mAh and 1500 mAh. Its dimensions are 34 mm (height) and 17 mm (diameter). The battery has, as a special feature, an inbuilt safety mechanism and it can function reliably in temperatures between those of -40 degrees C and 60 degrees C ensuring its dependabililty when working out of doors.

The cell's chemisty gives it a high output rate and it has a very low self-discharge rate with a shelf life of anything up to 10 years making the storage of spares problem free.
