The Japanese designer Chiaki Murata is known to transform design-technically rather boring "household helpers" into something excitingly eye-catching without losing sight of the purpose. This light-weight ladder (3 kg) made of powder-coated aluminium has a working height of 56 cm when folded out, when folded up the ladder only takes up a narrow 15.5 cm at a height of 62 cm. In addition to the one- or two-step Lucano folding steps, Thomas Merlo & Partner also offers the three-step "3 Step" ladder with additional grab rail.
