It does this by closing the crook key automatically when the A speaker key is pressed. The additional keywork is very easy to add to your bassoon just screw it onto the bassoon's crook key rod (see pictures for the placement) - there is no need to pay for an bassoon technician to fit this additional key. This key fits keywork that is no more than 4mm in diameter - the additional key can be filed to make it fit larger keywork.

Once you've attached it, you don't need to do anything else apart from enjoy the improved sound quality of this important note.
