The case can hold either 18 diatonic harmonicas, five three-octave chromatic harmonicas, or two four-octave chromatic harmonicas, or any combination of these. Additionally, a vocal microphone or various accessories and tools can also be stored. Rubber straps protect each harmonica individually, preventing scratches or dents.

A protective middle divider, secured with a zipper, can be removed during a live performance to provide a clear view of the entire contents of the FlexCase L. The removable divider also offers additional storage space. A tool bag attached to the divider can be removed separately, allowing the tools to be stored in checked luggage during a flight.
