The Pro 4 has proven itself to be one of the most reliable and versatile hubs on the market. Hope has further developed this proven technology with a number of improvements - improved sealing and reduced resistance in the freewheel body, higher load capacity at higher torques, even longer durability, more drive points and better compatibility with new drive systems. Hope has taken these factors equally into account and combined them in the design of the hub.

Reliability is always at the forefront of the products' design. With the Pro 5, the external seal plays an important role. Hope has evolved the design of the Pro 4 in this area with a new seal on the drive side that provides a better seal and less resistance.

This system is designed to withstand the harshest weather conditions, even in the UK! This was one of the main objectives in the development of the Pro 5 hub and results in noticeable benefits for the rider. The combination of a new labyrinth seal, a redesigned pawl/ratchet system and a new pawl spring has reduced resistance in the freewheel mechanism despite additional drive points.
