HydroSure PVC-U fittings are WRAS approved so they are safe to use with drinking water. Connecting PVC fittings to pipe requires cleaning fluid and solvent cement. Apply a bit of cleaning fluid to a cloth and clean the inside of the fitting up to the stopping point and the outside of the pipe.

This will allow the solvent cement to be as effective as possible. Once the pipe and fitting have been cleaned properly, a good amount of solvent cement should be run around the inside of the fitting and the outside of the pipe up to the stopping points using a clean brush. After applying the cleaning fluid and solvent cement to the pipe and connector, simply push the pipe up to the stopping point in the connector and hold firmly for roughly 30 seconds to prevent the pipe from pushing out, if working in cold conditions, it may be necessary to hold for longer.
