The whacker-plate compacts down to 200mm and moves the unit forward at a speedy 25m/min. Power transfer on the Hyundai HYCP5030 Petrol Plate-Compactor is done via a V-belt rather than a solid driveshaft – this means that if you dig-in too deep and cause an overload, you’ll just have to replace a snapped belt, rather than deal with catastrophic transmission damage.
