At one end there is a practical metal ring so you can hang the needle threader on a key ring and thus always have the tool at hand. The needle threader can be used in two ways. One way is semi-automatic.

There is a small hole in the edge of the needle threader opposite the key ring. In this hole you place the desired needle with the needle eye facing downwards, so that the needle tip protrudes from the needle threader. Then push in the handle (see photo 2).

This pushes out a small hook. Hold the handle in while you place the desired thread over the hook. Release the handle and pick up the needle.

You have now threaded the needle. The second way is manual. On the opposite side of the handle, another needle threader can be pulled out.

The needle threader is inserted into the needle eye and the thread is passed through the wire. Now pull the needle threader through the needle eye and the needle is threaded. The needle threader comes in assorted colours of pink, yellow or green.
