Yarn keys that are won up by a cross wrench machine are also called a (yarn) cake. They have the added advantage that you can pull the yarn off both from the middle and from the outside of the yarn key, whichever you prefer. The spanner measures 14 cm (length), 8.5 cm (width) and 14 cm (height).

It is made of plastic, which is dark blue and white. The handle itself is made of metal and has a dark blue plastic handle. The yarn arm with the eye is also made of metal, as is the clamp with the screw that holds the cross wrench.

Then you can clamp the cross wrench to the table with the screw wing by turning the screw counterclockwise. If you want to remove the device, turn the screw clockwise. Now you are ready to win yarn on the cross wrench.

How to use the cross wrench You take out your yarn and take one end of the yarn. It is now wrapped around the yarn eye on the metal rod. Next, wind the yarn a few times clockwise around the spindle and fit the yarn firmly onto the two small slots or hooks in the swivel at the bottom of the spindle (see picture 2).

Hold the yarn from the yarn eye slightly taut while turning the handle clockwise on the crossing device itself with your other hand. Gently turn the handle until the yarn loop has started properly.
