The voice feedback tells the user which light intensity setting you have selected ( a choice of 3 are available ), also needle position selected, at which time when, you lift your foot from the foot control and stopping the needle, it will always come to rest, either down, in the fabric for pivoting, or in the upper position to allow removing, or repositioning the garment being sewn. The other voice feedback, tells the user; speed has been added or reduced, after pressing the desired button.
