It saves time and mistakes when making and adjusting oboe reeds, bassoon reeds, and clarinet reeds. It includes a 15K Jende Reed Knife, a Jende Folding Steel, and an Edge Tester all in a stylish tool pouch. Detailed instructions are included.

The edge tester evaluates the edge condition of any reed knife without the need to use your thumbnail. The more you use it, the more sensitive you become to the feedback. Over time, you begin to feel the slightest of imperfections and even differences between grits and finishes of an edge.

The folding steel is lightweight and compact, allowing you to manipulate the edge back into position without sharpening or abrading it. It is highly effective on all reed knife types, and is used as the first step before sharpening. It is also used to personalize the position of your burr after sharpening, optimizing the way you scrape.
