Firm rather than flimsy, it can withstand temperatures as high as 250 degrees/ 482 F, and maintains its shape without distorting or bulging. But it's also easy enough to flex, so you can turn out sponges and fruit cakes with ease.

You can use it with multiple recipes, whether as a square silicone cake pan or a silicone roasting tin. As well as being a smart choice for cakes, its ideal for roasting small joints of meat. Silicone is inert, so it won't absorb or transfer tastes and odours between your bakes.
