They are handcrafted, professional-quality pigment inks with a highly blendable, creamy-smooth consistency that show up well on dark paper. The colours are extremely lightfast, rich and intense, exhibiting greater opacity than European or American watercolours in traditional Japanese style. These extra large pans (4.5 x 2.5cm) are ideal for sketching, illustration, sumi-e, manga, calligraphy and more.

Simply apply a wet brush to the pans to activate the colours. They behave like gouache when thickly applied and like watercolours when watered down.
