To instantly convert any saucepan into a steamer, pop our Foldaway Steamer Basket inside or on top. Unfurling its stainless steel ‘petals’ to fit inside pans up to 23cm diameter, it lets you steam veg without having to buy a separate steamer. Just add a little water to your saucepan, lower the basket inside using the ‘stalk’ in the middle, then add your veg.

Rounded feet means it won’t damage the non-stick coating on your prized pans, and the stalk makes it easy to lift out when your veg is cooked. Closing up to just 14cm across, it’s easy to store inside a saucepan and it can also be used (with care) to steam things resting on top of a pan of rice, pasta or potatoes – as long as you’re only steaming a small portion.
