The light source of the lamp, is powered by a battery, which during the day draws electricity from the built-in solar cell (panel). It converts sunlight into electricity, which is stored in the installed battery.

After dark, the stored electricity is used to power the luminous element, i.e. the LED. With its IP44 protection standard, this solar lamp is also protected against splashing water and dust, making it ideal for outdoor use.
