The DCM501 comes with a specialised cup that fits in the machine with no gaps for dust to get in. You can also use most commercial mugs up to 90mm in height. Versatility is the name of the game here as you can either use the official Makita Cafe Pods (seriously) or ground beans of your choice.

Makita Cafe Pods are available in 3 flavours: Mocha, Kilimanjaro and Brazilian. If thats not to your taste, then any 60mm coffee pod will fit. The tank can hold up to 240ml of water and the Boil Dry protection system automatically shuts the machine off if it detects there is not enough water.

Efficient power usage from the DCM500 means you can now brew up to three 160ml cups of coffee on a single 5Ah 18V battery and 4 cups from your 18V 6Ah battery. You will also get 3 cups from a 6Ah 14.4V battery but only 1 cup from a 3Ah 14.4V battery so don't forget your charger. Will brew a 160ml cup in 5 minutes using either an 18V battery or a 14.4V battery so this machine is much quicker than nipping to the cafe and means you'll never be far from your favourite Makita Mocha.
