The machine has a flat end giving the option of free-standing in an upright position, leaving both hands free to manipulate a workpiece. It comes in a case along with 4 different nozzles. The glass protection nozzle prevents damage when stripping window frames.

A reflector nozzle holds the heat around a pipe when soldering. The reduction nozzle concentrates the heat when welding plastic. A wide nozzle spreads the heat for thawing or drying.

The HG5030 is the successor to 1,600W Heat Gun HG5012.
