Thanks to the inclusion of the brushless motor, the Makita edger delivers a similar output to a 30cm3 engine version. For comfortable working, the edger is IPX4 rated to let you work in damp conditions while the guard protects you from grass cuttings flying up towards your face. However, the guard still gives you good visibility of the blade.

With soft start, variable speed control, and an anti-restart function in case of loss of power, the UE001G also benefits from Makita’s Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT) which shuts down the tool to protect the user if the blade speed suddenly slows down or stops.
